Timothy Tait is an Assistant Director at ADOA overseeing the Office of Statewide Communication & Public Affairs. The team is responsible for internal and external communication, statewide communication support, creative services, legislative affairs, public records, the Independent Oversight Committees, the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program and the Arizona State Hospital Ombudsman.

Before joining ADOA in 2024, Tim was the Communications Director for the Judicial Branch of Arizona in Maricopa County, where he led community and media relations for the Superior Court, Adult Probation Department, and Juvenile Probation Department. Prior to that, Tim served at the Arizona Department of Transportation for 15 years, leading communication and public involvement for some of the state's largest public works projects and launching conversation-inspiring outreach programs.

A former reporter, Tim is a graduate of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University and completed his master's and doctoral degrees at Grand Canyon University, where his research examined the role of leadership behaviors in the public involvement process for government projects.
