ADOA Launches New Portal For School Districts To Apply For Building Renewal Grants
On May 22, 2023, the Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) School Facilities Division launched a new portal for school districts to apply for Building Renewal Grants (BRG). The Arizona School Facilities Portal results from listening to customer feedback about BRG application platform needs. The School Facilities Division team created a new process using the Salesforce platform that eliminated almost half of the grant application steps with fewer grant application fields, and the ability to manage a single project budget.
The portal was developed to streamline and improve the processes of submitting Building Renewal Grant applications and managing BRG projects to successful completion. It is an intuitive one-stop shop to handle financial operations easily and provides a quick and easy way to monitor projects and outstanding tasks through a district dashboard. It also has a built-in communication tool with school facilities liaisons so that they can be reached directly through the portal.
