Arizona counties, cities, school districts, fire departments, towns and even some nonprofits are eligible to purchase affordable shipping containers that the state has in surplus; delivery coordination is also available.

The Arizona Department of Administration is offering shipping containers (40 feet x 8 feet wide) for a flat fee of $2,000 to qualified organizations. Dozens of Arizona fire departments, parks and recreation departments, cities and schools all over the state have been using the affordable, mobile storage to keep their equipment secure and safe from the wear and tear of weather.

Containers are available for the public to buy at auction, but only governments and nonprofits get the flat fee. Nonprofits can register here to see if they are eligible for the deal (eligible nonprofits must be focused on medical work, education or homelessness). ADOA can help coordinate delivery (delivery costs depend on how far the container is being shipped).
